Privacy Policy

Effective June 19, 2026.

Cold Case Bureau is built and operated by Thomas Masters. This policy explains what the app does and does not collect.

What we collect

Nothing. The app does not collect, transmit, or store personal information about you on any server. There are no accounts, no logins, no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party trackers.

What stays on your device

Your reputation score, tier, solved cases, and active investigation sessions are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard storage frameworks. This data never leaves your device. If you delete the app or reset your progress in Settings, the data is removed.

If you choose to send us feedback

The in-app feedback button and the Settings feedback option open Apple's standard Mail composer with a pre-filled message that includes the case ID (for case-specific feedback), the app version, your iOS version, and your device model. The message is only sent if you choose to send it, and it goes directly to thomasmasters@gmail.com. We use your message to fix the bug or answer your question. We do not share it with anyone.

Apple's analytics

If you have App Analytics enabled in iOS Settings, Apple may collect anonymous usage statistics and crash reports from apps including this one. That data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. You can opt out in iOS Settings, Privacy & Security, Analytics & Improvements.

Children

Cold Case Bureau does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. There is nothing to collect.

Changes to this policy

If anything material changes, this page will be updated and the effective date at the top will be revised.
