Privacy Policy for Skein

Skein ("the app", "we", "us") is developed and published by Thomas Masters. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app does and does not collect. The short version: Skein does not collect, store, or share any personal information.

Information we collect

None. Skein does not collect personal data. Specifically:

• There is no account, login, or registration.
• We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or location.
• We do not include third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.
• We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not request App Tracking Transparency permission.
• The app works fully offline and does not require a network connection to play.

Information stored on your device

Skein saves a small amount of gameplay data locally on your device only, using Apple's standard on-device storage. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party. It includes:

• Your best score and total number of runs.
• In-game "Sparks" soft-currency balance.
• Cosmetic items you have unlocked and the one you have selected.
• Your settings (sound, haptics, reduced motion).
• A local record of whether you have purchased "Remove Ads."

This data is removed if you delete the app.

Purchases

Skein offers optional in-app purchases (for example, "Remove Ads" and cosmetic items). All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment information. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. The app only stores, on your device, a record of which non-consumable items you own so they remain available to you, including after reinstalling and using "Restore Purchases."

Advertising

The current version of Skein does not display third-party advertisements and does not integrate any advertising network. If a future version introduces advertising, this Privacy Policy will be updated before that version is released, and any required permissions or disclosures will be presented in-app.

Children's privacy

Skein does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children. Because no data is collected, the app does not knowingly gather information from children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).

Data shared with Apple

When you download the app or make a purchase, Apple may collect information as described in Apple's own privacy policies. This is outside our control and applies to all apps on the App Store.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Material changes will be reflected in an app update where appropriate.
