Your high score, unlocked characters/soundscapes/themes, selected character, control layout, and haptics/sound settings are stored locally in iOS's standard app storage. We never see this data and it is never transmitted to us.
DreadLands submits your high score to a single Game Center leaderboard so you can compare it with friends. Authentication is handled entirely by Apple — we never receive your Apple ID, email, or any Game Center credentials. You can decline Game Center sign-in and still play the full game; your score just won't appear on the leaderboard.
Character packs, soundscapes, and visual themes are optional one-time purchases handled by Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes payment directly — DreadLands and its developer never see your payment details, billing address, or Apple ID. Purchases restore automatically on any device signed in to the same Apple Account via Restore Purchases in the menu.
DreadLands shows an optional, voluntary rewarded video ad if you choose to continue after dying — you always have to tap to request it, and nothing plays automatically. These ads are served by Google AdMob, which may collect device and advertising identifiers, IP address, and ad interaction data to deliver and measure ads. DreadLands currently requests non-personalized ads only — we do not use your Apple advertising identifier (IDFA) or any cross-app tracking to select ads, and you will not see Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If a future update adds personalized ads, this policy and the App Tracking Transparency prompt will be updated accordingly before that happens.
DreadLands is a combat game rated per its official App Store age rating. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children, and the app does not request any personal information from anyone regardless of age.
